    About The Teacher

Welcome to my page and the MHS Theatre
Dept. I teach the Talented Theatre I
and III students, sponsor the drama
club, direct plays and run our
    International Thespian Troupe 1510.

This is my 20th year teaching in St.
    Tammany’s Talented Theatre Program,
and my 18th year here at
Mandeville High School.I hold an MFA
in directing, and a BA in Drama from
the University of New Orleans, as well
    ancillary certification in Theatre
    from the
    state of Louisiana.I have
    directed and performed in many
in the Greater New Orleans area,
    as well
as at the Kennedy Center in

Washington D.C. Most recently I spent
some time in Washington D.C. advocating
for the arts and STEAM program for our
students. This summer I was selected to
study at the Polonsky Shakespeare Institute
through the National Endowment for Humanities.
And I have the great honor of being voted
Mandeville High Teacher of the Year for the
    2018-2019 school year.
The mission of the talented theatre
is to teach high school theatre
    the skills needed to perform
    and produce
    quality theatre. The
    students will
    experience a well-rounded
    curriculum which
    includes performance,
    literature, technical
    production and
    design, history, directing,
and critical thinking skill work. I
look forward to a great year with our
    students, parents, and MHS family!
