Cynthia E. King
Welcome to my classroom! I am so excited to begin a new chapter in my career as the teacher in the moderate classroom at Bonne Ecole. This is my 17th year providing special education services to 1st through 6th grade students here at BEE. I am proud to say that all of my teaching experience has been right here in St. Tammany Parish.
I graduated from Louisiana Tech University in 1981 with my bachelor's degree. I received my master's degree in special education in 2000 and my certification in education diagnostics in 2007, both from Southeastern Louisiana University. I have since completed graduate coursework specializing in autism spectrum disorders and applied behavior analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
When I began my career in teaching, I was hired as a long term teacher substitute, teaching students with mild/moderate disabilities at the high school level. I absolutely loved the job! That is why I am so excited to be assigned the moderate classroom and look forward to this school year!
