Hello and welcome to my classroom! This year begins my 26th year teaching, with twenty of those years in St. Tammany Parish. It will be my first year here at Mandeville Middle School, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to work with your child. My focus will be on providing your child with a well-rounded educational experience that includes academics, life skills, social skills, and community-based learning.
I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University with a bachelor’s degree in Special Education. I am certified to teach students with mild, moderate, severe, and/or profound disabilities grades 1-12. My career has included many opportunities to work in multiple areas of academics, disabilities, and grade levels. Additionally, I have worked as a Literacy Coach and Reading Interventionist in St. Tammany Parish’s Title I program. Professional development trainings across the years have included Kagan, Project Read (Writing), Thinking Maps, CHAMPS, Functional Behavior Assessment, DIBELS, BURST, Fast Forward, among others.
I am looking forward to the 2018-2019 school year.
Let the adventures begin!
