Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am excited to begin this year of learning at Bonne Ecole Elementary with our theme of "#BEEthechange!" Our staff was inspired by the famous quote by Gandhi "Be the change you wish to see in the world." We want to empower everyone within our school community to make a difference each day. We all play in a role in making Bonne Ecole the amazing school it is.
Our staff began the year with a #BEEthechange day on our school campus, completing several projects. You will notice bright colorful murals in the hallways and restrooms, along with a freshly painted copy room and newly decorated conference room. It was exciting to see the students enjoy the new additions to our campus.
Being a Prekindergarten through 6th grade school, we have a wide range of learning activities going on each day. Our school motto is to "Make Every Minute Count" and I encourage our students and staff to live out this motto each day. We end our morning television broadcast by saying this together. Our school's instructional goal this year focuses on differentiation, which is how the school staff tailors the instruction to meet each student's individual learning needs. Each of our students has a range of strengths and support needs, and it is our staff's goal to enhance those strengths and improve upon those support needs.
As the assistant principal of BEE, I work with Dr. Owens and the entire staff to provide a safe environment for all students to learn and grow. If you should have a question or concern, please feel free to contact me via email or by contacting the front office at 985-643-0674.
