Hello and welcome to choir and piano. I have been teaching music in St. Tammany Parish for 17 years and assigned to Creekside for the 2018-2019 school year. I graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Music in music performance, then earned my Master of Music from North Texas State University. I have an additional Bachelor of the Arts in Music Education from UNO and second Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Research from USM.
I am certified in both instrumental and vocal music for grades K - 12. I am a certified Suzuki Piano Instructor and have served on the high school division faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts National Music Camp for several summers. My biography has been published on the National Dean's List and received an Outstanding Achievement Award for Scholastic Excellence from the University of New Orleans at its Graduate Convocation in 1992.
I have been married for almost 30 years and have 3 children. Music education is vital to our culture and society. Allowing students to engage in the arts is essential, meaningful and enduring.
