    Hello and welcome to the Gator Nation Choir and Piano Class. This is my second year teaching at Creekside Junior High School. This is my 23rd year teaching music. I have been teaching music in St. Tammany Parish for 17 years and assigned to Creekside for the 2018-2019 school year. I graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Music in music performance, then earned my Master of Music from the University of North Texas. I have a Bachelor of the Arts in Music Education from the University of New Orleans and another Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Research from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am certified in instrumental music, vocal music, grades K-12, and have provisional certification as a school prinicpal through the Louisiana State Department of Education. I am a certified Suzuki Piano Instructor having studied under Dr. Judith Parks at the Atlantic Music Center. I have served on the faculty at the Interlochen Center for the Arts, National Music Camps during several summers. My biography was published on the National Dean's list and I received an Outstanding Achievement Award for scholastic excellence at the University of New Orleans Graduate Convocation.

    I am currently very active in music ministry and have served in many positions in musical service to the church including Director of Sacred Music at the Notre Dame Seminary Graduate School of Theology. I have been involved in sacred music for over 30 years and continue to draw inspiration from those endeavors.
