Welcome back parents and students, our pencils are sharpened, the floors are waxed and the welcome mat is in place for a great beginning to the 2017/2018 school year. I initiate my 32nd year as an educator, with this being my 11th year as Principal of St. Tammany Jr. High School.
The priorities of safety, discipline and curriculum are the foundations in building our cultural and structural expectations on our school campus. The academic, social and emotional development of our students are the center of the STJH triad, nurtured by parents, teachers and the administration. By proactively addressing all educational issues together, challenges become opportunities, problems become solutions and failures become successes.
Every new school year brings new faces, new opportunities and new responsibilities. Positive situations are in place to create positive results from positive people. I look forward to this exciting school year and cooperatively working with all entities in building positive relationships within our Salmen Learning Community.
