Hello and welcome to my classroom. This is my 21st yearof teaching! I have been teaching in St. Tammany Parish for 12 of those years. All of my experience in St. Tammany Parish Schools has been in Pre-K. There is no better place to be, in my opinion, than in Pre-K in St. Tammany Parish! Watching young children learn, grow, and develop skills, confidence, and kindness is like nothing else and why I love teaching our youngest learners! I strive for my classroom to be a place where children are joyful, confident, excited about learning, productive, kind, and helpful to others. I hope to be a partner with parents, helping their children to develop to the fullest of their potential! It is truly a partnership that creates the greatest opportunity for success in school!
I grew up in New York and graduated from the University of New York, College at Cortland. I received my teacher training and certification at Northern Arizona University. I am certified in Early Childhood Education by the State of Louisiana . I am also certified in Early Chilhood ( 3-6 years) by the American Montessori Association.
I look forward to this new school year! We have lots of fun learning ahead of us!
"Joy, feeling one's own value, being appreciated and loved by others, feeling useful and capable of production are all factors of enormous value for the human soul." - Maria Montessori
