I’m honored that I have received the privilege to participate in an important part of your child’s education. I set high expectations for myself and my students. My goal is to teach skills that will help your child be successful academically as well as socially.
I was an Accountant for my first career. I graduated from Loyola University in 2002 with a bachelor of Accountancy. I decided to become a teacher in 2010. I received a Master’s degree in Education from Louisiana Tech University in 2012. Many factors played a part in my decision to change careers. Each day I have the opportunity to teach my students it confirms that I have made the right decision. I was born and raised in the Greater New Orleans area, but I moved to West Monroe, LA in 2005 when Katrina hit. I moved to Mandeville in 2012, and this is when my teaching career began.
I have 3 children of my own (ages 21, 12, and 11). My family is the most important thing in my life. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on vacation. My job is very important to me also. I work hard to ensure I do a good job. There is nothing I want more than to see each and every one of my students succeed. I’m positive and believe that beyond a doubt every student can learn with the right instruction and tools.
I look forward to an excellent teaching experience. Please feel free to contact me when needed. E-mail is the quickest and easiest way for me to communicate. You may also contact me by phone. Generally, I will not have the opportunity to return calls until the end of the school day or the following day. Thank you and here’s to a great year!
